Thanks.** A: 4.0 is the ideal size for double knit but 4.5mm is fine and will give a slightly looser stitch **Q: What is the length of hoock?** A: The hook part itself is 0.8cm. The whole crochet hook is 14cm. The metal part from tip to where it meets the handle is 4cm and just the handle is 10cm. I find these very comfortable to hold and use.
