All of the built in bits nest together which albeit heavy to carry in a backpack actually makes for an excellent cook system. **Q: Does everything fit in the bag** A: Yes, all of it goes in the bag- packs very neatly. I've put the pot stand etc in a clip it box in the bag as well. Great product! **Q: Im aware that you can't use the kettle empty, but can you use it half full - I don't really need a litre and a bit of hot water for my morning coffee** A: Yes its fine to put whatever water you need in this kettle, i always put too much water in, but that does my washing up when im done, swill the cups and plates off and spoon when im putting away. all id say is if you put only a little water in, dont have a fierce fire in the bottom.
