**Q: What is the texture o this food?  Is it pate-style, or is it chunky or morsels?  My cats are picky about texture.  Thanks!**
A: My cat, too, is extremely picky - won't eat anything but patte until this, Now she won't eat the patte food I have in large quantities. .Just like the other respondent said. - My cat rushes over and licks the bowl clean- Eats every bit and all the gravy!

**Q: Why does the price keep increasing so much??**
A: I don't know, but I agree that it's out of hand.  I bought 24-packs of 6 oz cans for $40 in 11/2020 and $36 in 8/2019, but now that the price is $54 (4/2022) I decided that enough is enough and have switched brands.

Chicken - The chickens we use are raised in a cage-free, climate controlled environment. The raising of chickens is indoors, and this allows for greater control over the diet, and as the chickens are not exposed to the elements on a regular basis, it is easier to monitor their health and wellbeing. The chickens we source are part of an Animal Welfare Standard that sets forth ethical treatment guidelines that help protect livestock and cattle at the farm, during transport and at the time of processing. The diet of the chickens is non-GMO.

Beef Lamb - They are raised in Australia and New Zealand and are grass fed.the regulations in these countries is strict as it pertains to the humane treatment of the animals.

Fish - All fish, except for tilapia and basa, are wild caught in the ocean. As for the fish, it is purchased directly from the fishing companies, and along with the catch, there are certifications from the ships' captains that the catches are dolphin and turtle safe. There is an entity called Earth Island Institute that looks to protect the environment and maintain fishing sustainability, and Earth Island Institute recognizes the practices of our manufacturing facility.

The entire article is definitely worth the time to read.  It explains, quite well, how urban myths can become misconstrued as factual. 

I have fed BFF to my cats  (and other Waruva products), for about six year now and all my cat's are puuurrrfectly healthy.  The only thing I'd recommend is switching sources of protein on as regular a basis as possible.  This helps to mimic their natural diet.  In the wild, cats don't eat fish every day or birds, or ...

..."Plant and animal sources of Vitamin K include two types, Vitamin K1 and Vitamin K2. Vitamin K3, or menadione, is a synthetic form of Vitamin K. By itself, it has little biological activity, but it can be converted to a more active form by bacteria in the gut and other pathways. It is useful as a Vitamin K supplement in pet foods because it is more stable and tolerates heating better than the other forms of Vitamin K. Advocates of
“natural” medicine and nutrition often claim, however, that unlike these other forms, Vitamin K3 is toxic to dogs and cats. So what is the basis for this?

Of course, the first foundation “natural” medicine advocates use for claiming menadione is harmful and should be replaced with Vitamins K1 or K2 is the appeal to nature fallacy. As I’ve already pointed out, this is a meaningless claim which tells us nothing about the safety of any food or supplement. So what about other, more meaningful forms of evidence?

Well, to begin with, no case of toxic effects from menadione in commercial dog or cat food has ever been substantiated. Millions of pets have been consuming this vitamin for 
decades, so if the supplement were to have any significant potential risk, one

I saw some reviews mentioning that most people leaving reviews have senior cats so I felt inclined to post one for anyone reading these that isn’t shopping for a senior kitty. I have a 3y/o Maine Coon and a 6y/o DSH that have been in love with this food for the past year or so. It’s rare that they leave food on their plates after meals, and their vet says that they are both incredibly healthy kitties. No weight problems, stellar lab work, teeth and gums are great. Most importantly, the two of them are happy as can be and full of energy. My only complaint is that my cats have decided they like their breakfast served prior to sunrise now, so I have two very loud (very cute) alarm clocks meowing at me to feed them at 430 every morning. Is that bothersome? Yes. Have I become a much more productive person because of it? Also, yes. lol As for flavors, “Lamb Burgini” is their favorite…paws down! They also inhale “Meal or No Deal”, “Press Your Dinner”, and “Meows n’ Holler Purramid.” However, they won’t touch “Tic Tac Whoa!” Im not mad about that, though. We all know that cats can be picky, and every cat is different, so finding something that ticks all of the boxes for nutrition and flavor can be a frustrating game of hit or miss. With all of that said, this seems to be a great brand with a multitude of flavor options for your fluffy friends and I’d definitely recommend that you give it a try. :)
