This piece was actually 2 joined together end-to-end at a narrow point by a dowel peg, which is actually what broke. I contacted customer service and they responded promptly and sent a replacement part. Unfortunately this piece broke in the same place, having been shipped without even a scrap of bubble wrap to protect it. Rather than contacting them again, I have glued it and am hoping for the best. Suggestions:--Is it really that difficult to find a 3' x 2" x 2" length of pine so that the piece could be made out of one continuous length of wood?--Get some bubble wrap.
