Just note that you'll need to purchase some highly conductive gel at some point for the pads to stick to you Review: TENS machine - Never having used a TENS machine before, I found this one easy and discreet to use and effective for lower back pain. It has dual channels, but I have used just one side at a time. In practice, this enables me to place 2 gel pads in the painful area, leaving the other 2 pads for use elsewhere. The mode diagrams are not particularly clear when comparing it to the hand book for use. The machine has several modes, ie it can also massage, which can be programmed at different levels, but the diagrams used could be made clearer and simpler. The hand book lacks general information and advice about using a TENS machine, merely suggesting the user tries it for 15 minutes per day, although may need longer to start with. When switiching the machine on, it would also be useful if the face of the machine lit up for easier programming. I have used rechargeable batteries, but the manufacturer advises the user not to. They have lasted well and I have yet to explode! The gel pads, with careful removal and covering with the plastic covers provided, last well. I will have to either 1)!go buy some more batteries and try them and/or 2) return this item to the vendor -- both hugely annoying and a waste of time and money. Plus -- no pain relief as the device will not even turn on. A massive waste of my time.
