Fortunately, desertcart was selling it cheaper than other vendors so I decided to get it. The biggest improvement from the original 3DS XL to the new one would be the processing power. I'm currently playing Pokemon Sun and it loads much faster than the original and it doesn't have that annoying 'please wait' message followed by a black screen every time you stop playing the game. The resolution of the screen looks more crisp and polished which is another bonus. The only slight downside is the placement of the SD card. It's found near the battery and to access it, you need a small philips screwdriver to unscrew a couple of screws. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and glad I upgraded. I recommend upgrading to the New 3DS XL if you already have a 2DS, 3DS or 3DS XL and want a smoother gaming experience. Not so much lag during double or SOS Battles. Just a shame it was a second one.
