Capture every stunning detail with this advanced Full HD shoulder supported 1080/60p camcorder. The camera records on two SDHC or SDXC memory cards in the AVCHD Progressive format at 28Mbps. And its unique dual battery system keeps you recording for hours and hours since the batteries may be hot swapped during recording. Never before has this much performance been packed into an affordable, professional shoulder supported camcorder.

Review: It does just about what it says on the box - Focus is slow to react as is aperture setting on auto. It has a very good monitor and that is useful in all light conditions, it swivels in all directions so can be monitored from any position front, rear, side, overhead etc. One very bad design point - it has the Microphone plug towards the back of the camera - when the mic mounts at the front, so the wire gets in the way when carrying, picking up or operating. I have ended up with insulating tape securing the wire to the right side of the handle to keep it out of the way. The covers for the dc charger etc are very crude and don't fit well. Onto the end results, normal use, ok but when focusing over water it needs to be manually operated (duck on a lake for example), it has no choices for focussing spot or general either. It is relatively light though and easy to use - the menus are good, external switches positive apart from on/off switch that is rather small and fragile. In time lapse it works well, but slow motion is VERY degraded and works at all only on low quality video and that is rather a shame. Generally, just about worth it's price and good for close shots, weddings but the zoom is not so good for nature shots, it is ok on landscapes though. It is always shown as having a mic with dead cat fitted (particularly on desertcart, probably the seller's fault) but this does not come with the camera (Sony equivalent (HXR-MC2000 does and also gives better results overall) so there is further food for thought. Anyone who advertises ANYTHING using a photo - should show the item as it is NOT how it looks with all accessories fitted.

**Q: Hi does this camera come with all the parts shown on the pictures(APART FROM THE STAND) Please?. Thank You**
A: The camera has a built in microphone - at the front of the top handle - The Dead Cat mic was NOT provided with mine and I had to buy a JVC Mic with Dead Cat as an extra.  That was about £80!!  Also, my camera has never been good at focus on Telephoto 7x + - I use manual only on anything over 6x - It may be a fault but there is criticism about this on some of the blogs.  I have just turned out a lovely DVD with panoramic views and close ups in super Blu-ray quality HD regardless of the above.  Another point is the focus is a little sluggish compared with a Sony of about the same price.  Sony suffer a very small monitor screen though - but DO have a dead cat (very sensitive) mic provided.  The monitor screen on the JVC is a nice size and turns in any direction.  Do invest in the very BEST quality data cards though, especially if you are doing HD videos.  Generic batteries can be used but need to be charged OFF the camera - some MIGHT charge on the camera but it is unlikely.  It is a nice light camera and has lots of features - Time lapse is good but SLOW motion is only good in low quality as you might expect.  The shutter/blind on the lens hood is good.  Hope this helps - but do have a close look at the Sony with the built in Hard disk drive - I had one of those, it was very good.

Does everything it says on the tin. I am looking for a remote control for the zoom or LANC control when using it on a tripod, does anyone have one, a recommended model would be appreciated, i only need zoom control record stop/start not nessasary. Thanks in anticipation
