I am not totally happy with their longevity though. This is my first venture into monochrome colouring, so I don't know how other sets of pens fair yet (but I will be buying some more out of necessity very soon). Obviously monochrome colouring only uses the one colour in each picture, and some of the areas to be coloured are quite large (sometimes around 90% coverage of an A4 page). I have exhausted 10 out of the 12 pens, but have yet to get halfway through my book.
