The different milling tools can be adapted optimally to the respective materials thanks to the infinitely adjustable electronic speed control. The two provided collets with 6 and 8 mm can be clamped into the collet adapter, in order to be able to implement flexible operations with the router with different milling tools. The practical spindle lock thereby enables a fast and effortless tool change, while the balanced centre of gravity of the beautifully designed milling cutter provides a safe stand. The plastic insert at the foot reliably protects sensitive workpiece surfaces from scratching. Thanks to the ergonomic handles with slip-proof soft grip, the router lies pleasantly and safely in the hand. Review: Good router AND comes with 1/4 inch collet for all those old router bits ! - Only used it once but happy with this router. It was a distress purchase - half way though a small DIY project my trusty 30 year old (and actually made in Switzerland) Bosch POF 500 router died. Maybe I could have fixed it with e.g. some new motor bushes but did not want to mess about trying or wait. It is recycled scrap now but lives on in the bookshelves and other furniture around me :-) Initially I thought about getting the basic level Bosch POF 1200 AE but went for this Einhell one - it is slightly cheaper but an important bonus is that as well as the 6 and 8 mm collets described in the specification it comes with a 1/4 inch collet (as the title line on the web page says) - which I need for all my existing router bits ! How long it lasts who knows but pleased so far. What is also amazing is that this 1200 W router cost no more in £ than my 500 W router purchased 30 years ago ! PS - another tip if you are in distress - desertcart Prime delivered my router within 24 hours. Wickes and Screwfix had routers including the Bosch "in stock" at very similar price - but they are NOT "in stock" at my local stores - you have to trust that they their web ordering systems will get it to the store quickly for you to collect.

Only used it once but happy with this router. It was a distress purchase - half way though a small DIY project my trusty 30 year old (and actually made in Switzerland) Bosch POF 500 router died. Maybe I could have fixed it with e.g. some new motor bushes but did not want to mess about trying or wait. First router I've brought and used, so was pleasantly surprised how easy this was to use. If you're a pro or very serious DIYer, then I can imagine that you might find a few limitations with this but for an amateur or occasional DIYer who doesn't want to spent a huge amount for something that might only be used occasionally then this should be at least considered. Did 60 joints making some outdoor play tables the wife wanted for her school without issue. Found it comfortable to use, it did get a little warm but never worryingly so, easy to change bits once you have the hang of it. As other have mentioned the clear plastic chip guard does nothing more than get in the way of you seeing what you're doing, removed it and used goggles, much better. Overall, I would say that for light occasional use this is fine but if you're a bit more serious on your usage and wanted something that has more potential then get a 1/2" router.
