Come consigliato in altre recensioni l'ho montato in modalità "fissa" quindi non ribaltabile verso l'interno, questo per guadagnare in robustezza e tenuta e devo dire che funziona ottimamente con pesi di tutti i tipi (stesi anche coprimaterassi pesanti e giacche). L'ho montato al massimo dell'estensione permessa nel mio balcone e cioè 2,25 mt e va più che bene, non occorre tenere tesissimi i cavi, con il peso si "auto adattano". I miei corrimano sono tubolari diametro 5 cm, si riesce ad agganciarli, ho dovuto solo cambiare le viti a testa esagonale e prenderle più lunghe ed ho protetto la vernice del corrimano con teli gommati. Il consiglio che posso darvi è prendere dei tiranti per la stabilità laterale, è meglio tenere in trazione verso l'esterno le due barre, solo per evitare che convergano verso l'interno e vadano a far allentare i cavi che sorreggono i panni. Per il resto cavo effettivamente sottile ma per ora fa il suo, si può sempre cambiare con altro di diametro maggiore.
