Review: Excellent deck of cards - Aristocrat is probably my second favorite deck of paper playing cards, after Tally-Ho. They are made of similar card stock and have an excellent shuffle right out of the box with very little break-in required. (Compare this to Bicycle, which feels like pieces of cardboard and needs literally hundreds of shuffles to make them feel even halfway decent.) Aristocrat looks better than Tally-Ho or standard Bicycle cards. The reds are richer and the face cards use a gold ink that looks very good. Aristocrat appears to be the basis for the Metalluxe and Theory11 decks. Good looks not withstanding, I still have a slight preference for Tally-Ho because the reds used on the Aristocrat cards for the Hearts and Diamonds is very dark, which makes it easy to make mistakes when playing a game that requires color, such as Euchre or Klondike.
