Check proper medical research databases such as pubmed. Don't just google expecting the results to be truthful, you should no better than the believe the first thing you read on the internet. However you also need to be reasonable, if you are a high risk person/patient its better to speak to your GP and consider statins. This is better for those who haven't had a heart attack,stroke, high blood pressure yet. And those who normal medical treatment hasn't worked.
