**Q: Hi, how much is that thickness?**
A: good morning - this is approx 1/4" thick

**Q: can this be used to make oven gloves**
A: I don't think this would be thick enough for oven gloves as it is only 2oz , but even 4oz I don't think would be suitable for it either , this is really used for light weight quilts.

**Q: is this fire retardant?**
A: I use it for patchwork in small bags I am making for charity and it says on the page the following so I guess it is. " It conforms to the furniture and furnishings fire and safety regulations 1988, and to british standards BS5852"    It just came in a black plastic bag and really much more than I needed, but does the job perfectly.

**Q: can this be dyed?**
A: Hello, although I have not tried to dye this, I would doubt it very much. Normally polyester/nylon based products do not dye. Plus this is very thin wadding, it would break up. I would not recommend it. If I was going to attempt to colour this I would use a food colouring on it and allow to dry, I would not put it in a machine. Just a thought. Tracy

Good quality for the price although quite thin but didn't affect the project I was using it for as I just doubled it up. Was delivered quickly and the price was lower than other batting of the same quality I had ordered elsewhere. Would recommend for a variety of projects that involve using good quality material over the top of this but if you're looking for a softer and thicker batting then I'd probably recommend paying extra for it.
