The only parts the come apart is the top and rear fan mount. **Q: Does it have enough space to install M2 on the back of the motherboard?** A: Yes. I have an ASUS ROG Strix B760-I with an M.2 mounted on the back with no problems. **Q: What is the difference between this and the N1?** A: The primary difference is just the form factor. I tried a few and this is leagues above the others. Build quality is great, almost all brushed metal construction. Style is timeless. Easy access to hot-swap drive bays. Good separation of mobo and drives. Good airflow. Easy to build. And takes a tiny amount of space. The only things that would make it even better are: 1 - A better built-in fan for the drives, I swapped it for a silent arctic cooling one. 2 - Slightly better layout that may allow for more space between the drives and fan, and perhaps the PSU. But this might come at the expense of the small size. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sick mITX NAS Case! *by on Reviewed in the United States December 30, 2025* Great little case! Just put it together and it was really simple. Has instructions on cable management and fit everything I needed in it. Time will tell if the hotplate holds up but so far so good.The fan it comes with is pretty loud since the plate runs it at full speed, but I’m going to replace it with a 15mm Noctua with the quiet cable. If you’re going to have this on your desk, I’ll plug the fan it comes with into the motherboard instead for PWM control.Tip: Enable Hot Plug in PCH Storage Configuration, BIOS! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice case, good cable routing, noisy fan *by on Reviewed in the United States November 16, 2023* Overall I like this case except for the noisy, slightly non-standard fan.Pros:- For a small case it has very good support for neat cable routing.- Most of the case is assembled with small screws so you can easily partially disassemble it to help routecables in best positions.- The power supply can be mounted with the fan facing either the louvers on the case side or inwardtoward the case interior. This is handy at least in my case where the power supply fan was thenoisiest fan (after replacing the case fan) and orienting so it faced the interior of the case made itmuch quieter.Cons:- The case fan is very noisy for a case that is obviously designed to be attractive and used in an occupiedroom or office. And while it is a 120mm fan, it is only 15mm thick instead of the normal 25mm ofstandard PC case fans. This limits the options for quieter replacements. I did replace it with aNoctua fan the same size but it runs at a higher speed than their really quiet case fans and istherefor somewhat noisier. It would have been nice if they had made the case a minor 10mmdeeper so it fit a standard fan. As it is, there is not enough clearance with the cables to allow a25mm fan to fit.- A minor annoyance is that the front panel board has both USB-A and USB-C 3.0 connectors, butit seems that most low power motherboards that would likely be used in a NAS system do not havea compatible USB-C motherboard connector (some don't even have a USB-A 3.0 connector) andthe heavy cables from these are difficult to route, especially hiding an unused one. Fortunately,the connectors for these are easily removed from the front panel board with two small screwseach if they are not needed.As I said, a pretty nice case overall.
