Indeed, it is excellent coffee. It is expensive as a bag is only 8 oz but how can one put a price on a good coffee? The beans smell good, once ground the coffee smells good and the brewed coffee is superb. I use this system Hario V60 Glass Coffee Dripper (Size 02, Red) for making my coffee and follow the directions exactly, I was switching from using a French press to this dripper so was worried about losing taste. Instead I now have a neat method of dripping an excellent coffee to enjoy! BTW the filters are natural unbleached paper. I'll add that the coffee is from the original home of coffee, Ethiopia. It is fair trade and organic. I've used many different kinds of beans. Its been a while since I'd done a Yirgacheffe, so I bought some Bekama and Marquis. The Bekama had a weird smell to it, but other reviews mentioned that smell but the taste was great. So I went ahead and did my 20hr cold soak, and then filtered and stored in fridge. Tested some the next day, and it wasnt great. Atter two days in fridge, it developed some strange bacteria or yeast floaties, which I've never had happen before. So I can only assume I had some bad beans.
