Once you break free of the addiction, all you're left with are the poisonous side effects. I used my days off of work to try going without any patch at all, staying at home in a low stress environment. I was able to quit nicotine entirely after just 2 weeks of step 3 (1 box). Wait a minute before applying the patch to let the alcohol and water from the wipes evaporate. This will help remove oils on your skin. I live in a hot/humid climate and my skin is naturally oily so I use about 2 alcohol wipes to get my arm completely clear of oils so that the patch will stay on for the full 24 hours. Both Step 1 and Step 2 are too strong for me, they make me feel nauseous. I placed Step 3 on my arm and went about my day.
