No noise from the fans at all. Not sure if it does make a difference. Who cares? Looks amazing if you have a clear side panel. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Wobbly construction *by P***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 May 2019* I can confirm these fans work. The sound is barely noticeable, no complaints there. It's quite tolerable, actually, given the wobbly construction.I do take issue with the construction. In fact, I would have fired the genius who invented the mount. He or she took the word "turbulence" all too literally. The fan should sit firmly across the mounts of all four RAM banks. Instead, it clings to the mount points of the two middle RAM chips. To somewhat counteract this built-in instability, the inventor of this marvel glued a piece of foam to the inside of the "legs" (the two metal wings which are supposed to clutch the RAM banks). This is not what you would call a robust, durable construction. The foam will inevitably wear off and in the process, the fan will deliver on the misguided promise of "turbulence" (you may want to re-read the name).There is no way to adjust the angle of the "legs", because the screws are positioned in a way that virtually ensures no access. The Kingston fan I used before had large screws on top, adjustable with bare fingertips and no tools. It also drew power from the board.This fan draws electricity from the power supply, not the board (you may want to check if you have a spare connection to avoid surprises).All in all, I am surprised that this thing has survived the marketplace for so long at this overstated price point. It goes to show how our society has lost touch with reality.
