Turns out I developed a nickel allergy, which sucked because I wasn't sure what could be done about that at the time. After trying the trick of putting on clear nail polish on my buckles a few times, I decided that wasn't a sustainable solution. I stumbled across Nickel Smart while looking for carbon fiber buckles, but after seeing the price difference, I was definitely willing to try just a nickel free metal buckle. I bought a brown and a black belt, and they work! No worries about an itchy rash anymore. The belts themselves look good too in my opinion. The belt arrived and looked wonderful, but the more I use it, the more the inner color comes out. Each bend, twist and scratch reveals more character. The inner color is lighter, the exterior color is darker, I don't know how they do it, but this leather is really cool.The belt is super comfortable too. Strong yet soft.
