(or at least they did for me)i ripped out the blackpowder from inside of a few of the fuses.this cannon really DOES work, BUT it has to be very clean to fire. i have jammed it at least twice. in both cases a fuse did not burn fully but it burned enough to fire the cannon, therefore a small piece of fuse is jammed in the cannon, this can be very hard to detect. i suggest after each firing you slide a paper clip throught the cannon and then blow into one end and see if air comes out the other end, if it doesnt your cannon is jammed.Here are the steps to load it1. make sure cannon is clear of all jams.2. slide a fuse into the top of the cannon.3. dump a bit of black powder into the cannon barrel.4. put a bb into the cannon front.5. push the bb into the barrel with a small but long object like a paper clip or twig, stop pushing the bb in when you feel resistance.6.light the cannon fuse and stand back.(did your cannon not fire? then you have a jam! go fix it!)for a stronger firing power do these steps1. make sure cannon is clear of all jams.2. slide a fuse into the top of the cannon.3. dump a bit of black powder into the cannon barrel.4. slide any number of (must be mad eof paper) cap gun caps into the barrel.4. put a bb into the cannon front.5. push the bb into the barrel with a small but long object like a paper clip or twig, stop pushing the bb in when you feel resistance.6.light the cannon fuse and stand back.(did your cannon not fire? then you have a jam! go fix it!)i hope this has been helpful, i seriously suggest buying thisI LOVE IT ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome *by A***I on January 15, 2014* Its a really awesome little thing!I am disappointed that it didn't come with anything to shoot it with..I did not realize that at the time ): ### ⭐ Not impressed *by K***J on June 1, 2014* Hot this for my husband who has one of everything. Thought it would be neat but he has never even shot it. It would have been nice if it came with a couple fuses, powder, canon balls (bbs) or even offer the option to buy an accessory kit which would include those things. I think he would have really enjoyed it but who wants to mess with buy all the extra things just to fire it once! And i see others sell the same type of cannon and theirs comes with a ram rod thing with a scoop on the other end to get the exact amount of powder you need to load.
