The 'rope' is heavier but perfectly smooth now i've trimmed it to size (see photos) 1 star down on 'lightweight' because, well its not lightweight which some people may not like. I took it to my local gym yesterday and managed 100 double unders in a row which I've not done in a while. The rope swings heavier than standard plastic/pvc but very smoothly, weight and feel is excellent. I've tried speed ropes and find them too light, leather ropes are slightly too heavy. Ease of use loses 1 star becasuse trimming the rope to size requires good cutters (thankfully it does, it means the rope is strong) I'll reserve judgement on build qualiy until its been to the gym and used on concrete outside for a while, but it looks like it'll hold up well.
