A: This subwoofer has a built-in amplifier. You will have to run a power and ground wire. You will also need to attach the rca cables or speaker cables to the unit for it to turn on and off. You will be supplied with all the necessary wires included in the kit. Follow the installation manual for your particular set up. It is a great sounding unit.
