It should only alarm when the weight is removed from the pad. It may beep once as the patient gets into bed, but that should be all. If it is alarming when you get into bed, a) check the pad is placed across the bed in the area of the patient's shoulder blades or the bottom area, b) make sure the patient's full weight is on the pad when laying in bed. c) if the alarm does sound as you put your weight on the pad, press the reset button on the alarm, this should silence the alarm. But check to make sure when you remove your weight again, the alarm sounds. If you have tried all these, then perhaps your system isn't working correctly.
