**Q: I ordered a new “plug” but it still does not seal plug hole when pushed down. Do I need this to fit to the plug hole? And if so, how?**
A: I think there are two different sizes for the France sink.  Your old plug probably only needs a new rubber seal.  They are easy to replace.

**Q: Dimension says 4.5cm. Do you mean 4.5 inches?**
A: No it's 4.5cm.  Fits the waste assembly to seal the plug.

**Q: Does the new plug come with the seal attached or do I have to buy the seal separately, it seems the same price? Thank you**
A: A new Franke basket has the seal attached. I have two and one lasted 11 years before the seal needed replacing.

**Q: How do disassemble my franke strainer plug to replace the seal/washer?**
A: No disassembly required. Simply peel off the worn seal and fit the new one. If using a genuine Franke seal be careful to fit the replacement with the contoured side showing. From experience it only takes a couple of minutes.

This was labelled as a genuine part and I have no reason to doubt this as it fitted perfectly. A bit pricey for a small piece of rubber but genuine parts are never cheap and I am very happy with this item and will be buying another.

There are various sealing rings for Franke basket strainers. This one fitted mine perfectly and seals well. You need to measure the old one and make sure you order the correct size. Just a pity they are so expensive for a bit if moulded rubber.

I have a FRANKE sink with a FRANKE sink plug but the rubber washer was starting to perish and it was leaking.There seem to be a lot of sink plug seals around. Most of them are from names that I have never heard and it seems be be really hit & miss whether they will fit or do the job intended.I am pleased to say that this seal is the 'real deal' and is designed to fit my plug without dropping off.It does seem very expensive for what is just a piece of rubber. However, given that the first one last around 10 years, I guess I won't need to buy very many of them
