**Q: Is it a normal baynet fit or would you have to have it installed professionally by an electrician?**
A: Hi there

You cannot, by law, fit a lamp in a bathroom anymore using a bayonet or screw fitting.  It is basically illegal.  Hence if you have bathroom lights fitted, currently they have to be waterproofed and IP rated.

Similarly this fitting, which contains a light and a heating element, needs to be hard wired into the electricity circuit.

Becuase of the heating element this appliance cannot be run on the lighting circuit as the "load" is too high.  It has to be fitted on the "socket" ring (15 amps) to allow for the loading of the heating element and the light together.

So yes it does have to be fitted by an electrician or a qualified person.

**Q: What is the IP rating of this product?**
A: no idea on ip rating as i have had for a few years.they are good heaters.i have used them in my bathroom for nearly 35 years.easy to install.

A: I was very pleased with this light unit.

**Q: What is the wattage please**
A: My Goldair is model BHL750(GHL750),which is probably the same as GAO750. Watts - 750W. Voltage - 230V. Maximum Lamp Wattage - 60W
