Thankfully, they turned out really well and completely changed the look of the room for a fraction of the price. The dye was easy to apply - I used nitrile gloves and an old kitchen sponge, which worked perfectly. I also didn’t need to use very much product, so there’s plenty left for other DIY projects and items in the same room. One thing I would recommend, specifically for rattan or similar absorbent materials, is diluting the dye slightly with water first. Because this type of material can’t really be rinsed afterwards, the colour takes very strongly and can end up darker than expected if applied neat. That’s not a criticism of the product itself, just something worth knowing depending on what you’re using it on.
