This is a well made Chef's knife. I was concerned when I first got it and found out it was made in China. When i asked the company. They told me that the knife is German Design and made with Japanese steel and made in a factory in China that also makes swords. This knife is not for the faint of heart When my wife opened it Christmas day she was pleasantly surprised. This knife also comes with its own storage case. This is a Chef's knife that compares to or better than those advertised by chef's on the food network. This knife is razor sharp and will cut almost anything. If thought you could not afford a good chef's knife you can I just checked the price and it is less than $25. It's worth it. I may get another one....
