Helps. *by K***T on March 28, 2023* Bought this to start getting back my oxygen and regain some walking ability after 2 years of being down with my back. It is definitely helping. PROS: Remote control does it all. Displays speed, distance, time and calories burned. Can also be used with your arms. The self propel is very helpful in the beginning to make sure you can turn the pedals*(see below). It can be used with or without the bike's automatic propel feature. It is definitely making a difference for me, especially with my ability to breath during exertion. Fits under my desk easily for storing while not in use. I slide it out far enough to clear the desk top when I want to ride. CONS: *There are only 6 speeds and I am already topped out after using it for 3 months. Wish it went higher. Only other con is that is moves around - even on carpet - so I got a couple of those Ruggies grippers for floors and carpets (I cut them to size) to glue to the feet. This has solved my problem but they could have made the feet less slick.
