## Overview

The Otter Wax Waxed Canvas Smoothing Tool is a polished hardwood applicator designed to press fabric wax deep into fibers, clean seams and edges with precision, and smooth waxed surfaces using gentle heat. Ideal for waxed canvas and leather care, it ensures a professional, even finish on jackets, bags, hats, and more, perfectly complementing Otter Wax products.

## Description

Finish waxed canvas the way it’s meant to look—smooth, even, and wet-weather ready. After you apply a fabric wax bar or heat‑activated dressing, the Otter Wax Wax Smoothing Tool helps you lock in coverage. The broad, flat face presses wax deeper into the weave so it bonds to fibers and spreads evenly across the surface. The pointed, angled edges reach where fingers can’t—cleaning and redistributing excess wax from seams, stitching, hems, and around zippers for crisp detail work. Use it on waxed canvas jackets, hats, bags, backpacks, aprons, and outdoor gear, plus tincloth, oilcloth, duck cloth, and waxed cotton fabrics. It also doubles as a leather-care crevice tool: remove wax buildup along seams and hard-to-reach areas, while the soft wood and subtle rounding help reduce the chance of scratching. How to use: 1. Apply wax. 2) Warm slightly if needed. 3) Press and smooth with the tool. 4) Allow wax to properly cure before use

Review: Good quality - This was perfect for waxing my Barbour jacket. Pushed the wax into the seams and made a smoother finish.
Review: It works - Extremely usefull.

## Features

- Press Wax Deep Into Fibers: Use the flat face to push fabric wax into canvas for a smoother, more even seal—great for waxed jackets, hats, bags, packs, and DIY waterproofing projects.
- Clean Seams, Stitching and Edges: Pointed, angled corners lift excess wax from seams and hard-to-reach spots (zippers, stitching lines, hems) for a cleaner finish and better-looking detail work.
- Smooth Creases and Hot Spots: Warm the waxed area with gentle heat (hair dryer) and glide the tool to redistribute wax—helps reduce ridges, clumps, and white streaks after application.
- Made for Otter Wax Care Products: The essential companion to Otter Wax Heavy Duty Fabric Wax Bars and Heat-Activated Fabric Dressing—use after application to spread wax and lock in coverage.
- Leather-Friendly Detail Tool: Also handy for leather care—scrape built-up wax along seams and tight spots; hardwood with subtly rounded edges helps clean without scratching delicate leather.

This is a great wax to use on any waxed jacket you may own. I use this to fill in spots and it’s a simple as applying the wax and using a hairdryer. The wax comes with a small smoothing tool that is perfect for adding wax to your waxed coat.
