FYI, the back of the Samsung phone is curved near the edges. The back cover came off quite easily. I tried again recently, after using some rubbing alcohol to remove the residue from the previous application. This time as well the back cover came off easily! Finally, on a hunch, I applied one layer on the back cover and one layer on the phone's backside. This worked like a charm! Mind you that the width of the tape is also very thin.
