**Q: Does this have a double-check valve built in? Thanks :)**
A: It does not have an anti syphoning valve to stop water going back to the mains
supply as required by law, according to my plumber. Otherwise it would be an
excellent product.

**Q: 5 years on. Have they updated the double check valve?**
A: No as this listing is the same lockshield but with the DCV

Both are available as people do sometimes want the one without the checkvalve as they are used in barrels / waterbutts etc that have very low water pressure. Its also only a legal requirement on new installations so if replacing a tap and you have a checkvalve in the pipe line already, if your pressure again is low and you dont want a 2nd checkvalve these can be used.

**Q: I see the back fitting is 1/2 inch is the tap 3/4**
A: This tap has a screw thread diameter of 3/4 inch being a standard 1/2 bsp inch tap fitting , the 1/2 inch diameter refers to the inside bore of the tap fitting.

**Q: Does anyone know how to attach a threaded hozelock hose?**
A: Just like most other bib taps, just unscrew the brass hose tail and screw on the hozelock adaptor in its place.
