Next are the problems you may meet: Qusetion 1:Why the air switch can not work or do not work well? Answer 1 : A. Please check the two connection between air tube with power box and air tube with air switch button. B. PLease check the power of your machine.If the power of your machine is beyond 1HP, it is impossible for the air switch kit to work well.And the recommend power of machines is about 3/4 HP or 560w. I drilled a 1 3/8" hole for the switch. Perfect fit to slide in easily, with very little gap. For the uninitiated, this switch is not electric. It pushes air through a tube to a control box you mount under the sink. (See undersink picture. Apologies for all of the plumbing in the way.) The black box is the disposal controller. Air tube from the countertop switch is going into the right side of the box. The box's power cord (coming out the left side) plugs into your disposal receptacle. Mine is a dedicated 20 amp GFCI/AFCI breaker circuit. The disposal is then plugged into the black box. One push turns it on. Another push turns it off. You DO NOT have to hold the button down for the disposal to keep running. You DO need a corded disposal. Most disposals can be wired either way. If you are currently hardwired, you'll need a cord/plug kit. Having the receptacle under your sink may be the challenge, if you don't have one. If you have an undersink junction box for your current disposal, it can be converted to add a plug. Be sure to turn off the power at your breaker panel. Determine if the circuit is shared (e.g. with the dishwasher), and wire accordingly. Don't hesitate to call a qualified electrician if you have any concerns. ## Features - HOW TO CHOOSE BUTTON – For better fitting, please choose the SHORT/2" or the LONG/2.5" button depending on the thickness of your countertop. In most cases, SHORT is for a stainless steel sink top and LONG is for thick countertop like granite, marble, quartz. - SAFETY & SECURITY – The Power-supply Cords are attested by UL for security and long-term use. Suitable for voltages from 110V to 130V. - EASY TO INSTALL – No tools are required for installation. The diameter of the countertop hole should be between 1 1/4" and 1 3/4".
