**Q: do both bio foam and green cartridges need replaced monthly**
A: All depends how dirty they are. Can use bucket aquarium water to give them clean just give them few squeezes in bucket put back in fliter. Can replace every month if want too. I replace mine when fall to pieces more like every 8 months. Can use filter bacteria put on green cartridge fliter give it boost. Bio filter black net front never had to replace it. Just green cartridge had to replace when are too mockey. Never use tap water to clean fliter cartridge or kill of good bacteria.

**Q: How often should these be replaced?**
A: I replace mine once a month but it depends on what fish you have.

**Q: why do my goldfish produce pink/red waste?**
A: What are you feeding them pink/whites???

**Q: Can you wash and re-use this foam? How many months would it last?**
A: You can wash if you want but this is very bad for your tank fish foam should be changed min one per month I hope sa thatvI can help
