I feel like there is a huge learning curve with the Akai products new and old but once you start you are hooked. The sound these machines generate are in a class of their own. **Q: Hi there, i'm planning to buy the mpc x and need some advice please, can i use a usb microphone and usb turntable with it? thanks and happy new year** A: That depends on the capacity your trying to use USB... to my understanding a usb microphone interacts directly through usb and that’s how the vocal or instrument signal travel to your system. So the microphone is more prone to work with the MPC software on your computer and not the X itself. As for the turntable you won’t be able to connect your turntable to the X through usb. However, most usb turntables come with alternate rca jacks that can plug directly into the X for use. I’ve personally had a grounding issue using a Stanton with an MPC Renaissance sometime ago but you won’t encounter this problem with all usb turntables. At the end of the day, if you’re purchasing an MPC X or a Live a salesperson should walk you through and give you pertinent info without attempting to upsell you. If they don’t take the time to answer your questions they don’t deserve the sale. **Q: Does pre owned mpc x come with all software?** A: Hi, Akai Pro support here!
