If so, on the edge or the face of the door?** A: Not sure, I used it to good effect on a trapdoor **Q: Hi can someone please tell me the depth of the catch? Does it have to be inset into the fabric of the door or will it sit flush on the surface? Thanks** A: It has to be inset. From memory, it will be about 3mm. One other thing. It’s possible to cut a finger when pulling on the loop. Check and file off any sharp edges on the underside of the loop. **Q: is this any good for a pocket door side edge incase door gets lost in the pocket?** A: I do not know what a pocket door side edge is -all I can tell you is that I fitted it to a trapdoor and it is still working fine so no quality issues as far as I know . **Q: Does anybody use this on s sliding door? Use your own screws. *by T***Z on 11 June 2023* So the handle itself is nicely made and sturdy. Why any company ships anything with shoddy screws is beyond me. I recessed these into a bit of beech worktop that covers a storage ‘box’. I predrilled the holes for the screws, but still the first screw in just sheared when halfway in.
