I read in a previous comment to use only an amount in measure of a grain of rice which I did and after dabbing gently under the eyes and leaving for a few minutes to take effect and dry completely I was able to apply my makeup (carefully) as I didn’t want to undo the effects achieved by the gel. If you are looking for a temporary fix for that special occasion then I hope this review helps to reassure you you won’t be wasting your money on a product you can’t use. My skin type is normal but having turned 60 I do get the odd little dry area. (I need to drink more water!) I did use an eye cream hydro something or other (was on £6/£7), it was a water based cream which was recommended in another review. No idea if that also made the difference?
