I was so excited to get this as I had been wanting it for awhile and finally caved. Soon after receiving it truly felt lackluster. Matcha is fine but that’s about it, sometimes clumpy but not the end of the world. I wasn’t truly disappointed until I had a run in with their subscription service online. After months of receiving updates via email and having a subscription account I tried to cancel and order and I couldn’t log in or even troubleshoot via “forgot password”. After contacting the service (which granted was a quick response) they sent me an activation email and said “ We have checked your account setup and the fact that we can send an account invite means the activation was not completed when you created your account.”. Since I had been receiving emails about my account points for months and was never sent an email to fully activate my account I’m not sure how one would ever “fully activate” their account without contacting them via email first. Machines with a more luxe branding need friendly usable user interfaces, websites and customer service. Especially if users are subject to be lifelong customers via tea leaves exclusive to their brand.
