**Q: Which battery should be used?   it says aaa but thats too long to fit .....**
A: Clock is very small, but pretty.  Back is made of plastic, not pewter, which is a bit of a let down. Instructions call for an AAA battery - there is no way a triple AAA would ever fit in the housing. Thanks to comment below discovered that the correct battery is in fact an N.  All in all pretty, but disappointing and certainly not worth the money.  However I'm not sending it back as the colour is perfect.

**Q: Please can someone tell me how big is the actual face of the clock is, if the whole thing is roughly 3"?**
A: The actual face measures 2.1/4" across. It's a lovely little clock.

**Q: Does this clock tick? It’s for my bedside so I need it to be silent**
A: No it does not tick.  I have mine on my bedside cabinet and it looks lovely.

**Q: Can you hear this clock ticking or not ?one review says its silent ,another says it ticks too loud ...if i can hear it ticking at all it will be annoy**
A: It's not silent I bought it for the ticking sound as it helps me to sleep. Not too loud or intrusive.
