Use a small screwdriver to lever the spray-button upwards (opposite to the direction you press it). Underneath, do the same for the small bung where the spray-tube enters the bottle. Both are push-fits, they just pop off, and press back on. The hole is large enough to carefully squirt repellent into it from one of the larger bottles. I like this flat bottle for the way it goes neatly in a pocket. With the labels peeled off, you can see how much repellent is left by holding it up to a bright light. I also have a 20ml clear plastic spray bottle I bought separately to put repellent in. It's easier to see how much is left. **Q: Can you use yhe wipes on a dog to prevent ticks whilst camping** A: Hi. I have asked Smidge on your behalf and please see response below: "Smidge is not registered for use on animals, so we can’t officially recommend this. A lot of our customers do use it on dogs, horses etc with no ill effect (it has been passed safe to use on humans after all) but if people ask me I always say that it isn’t registered for this use but if they are going to try it to make sure they avoid the animal’s eyes and do a patch test first." **Q: How do you open pack?** A: Hi, you dont open it you just push the top of the canister ( the middle bit ) and it comes out, but I found ( also a lot of other people as well ) that this will only last one application. So me personally I think its not worth the money, but read other reviews as see what they say. No nasty smell, goes on easily. The size and shape are good to keep in a bag etc for emergency use if you go into a tick area and have forgotten to apply at home.
