### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A excellent book to read about life in the 1960s

*by N***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 November 2017*

This is a excellent book written about teenager life in the 1960s, it adds story’s about the northern soul scene in Yorkshire, and how family’s were brought up in the catholic religion, as the amazon description added there are parts of the book that are erotic reading, but young people’s life’s were no different then as they are now, anyone who was a teenager in the 1960s should read this book, it will certainly bring back happy memories for them.

    A rewarding and entertaining read

*by M***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 September 2018*

Set in the 60s at the height of modernism, the tale of two love struck teenagers, their hopes, their desires set against a back drop of over zealous religious principles and parental strictness.Interwoven with the mid sixties Mod scene, evoking the era in credible detail, the lives of our protagonists are explored, celebrated and realistically drawn. Can’t wait for the sequel.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pretty much as it was (within the ‘requirements’ of a novel and the need for a storyline.

Took me straight back to the mid 60s and all this ‘growing up’ emotions. Defined what it was to be a Mod in a northern town. Enjoyed it.
