The batteries were individually wrapped in plastic. Charging went much better once I removed the plastic. Second point, I plugged into a USB charging port powered by a 2.0 18V battery, the type used on drills and other tools. I first thought the Maxiaeon charger was faulty because the 1st 18650 battery showed charged after about 5 minutes. Switching power supplies, I got charging results that I believe are accurate. So, I am pleased with this purchase. I have four flashlights that shine brightly.

**Q: Does the negative side of the battery go in first (toward the spring inside)?  I don't see any polarity indication within and no instruction sheet.**
A: The positive terminal of the battery goes into the flashlight first.

**Q: How many batteries come with this?**
A: 6.

**Q: Why is there a false claim of capacity listed? These cells do not have anywhere close to the advertised capacity.**
A: I'm not sure that's a question That I could answer. but I guess it's just buyer beware and typical false advertising and they just want to see how much I can get away with before they have to take it down.

**Q: does it come with a battery case /holder how many batteries dows it come with**
A: It doesn’t have a case. It comes with 6 batteries. I put the batteries I’m not using in a small reusable plastic box.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Odd features

Firstly, the battery has a counter-intuitive +/- install (+ is down on the spring). Secondly, the multiple light levels are in both steady and flashing modes (flashing might be good for some instances, but BAD for epileptic, etc.). Depending in which mode it was turned off, it might require multiple clicks to get the desired mode. This is true for both small and large areas. Also, threading care is required when installing a new battery. Other features are great. It can be very bright; has a great battery; has a great USB charger (with only minor green/red led quirks); it charges quickly; & lastly, this is a great price for 6 included batteries!
