Review: Meets my needs in a small not-for-profit - I use this device at a small not-for-profit with ~6 employees and volunteers to which I provide technical support as a volunteer. It's nice to be able to support the network and check on the status from my smart phone at home. I use this alongside 3x EnGenius Express Wi-Fi beacons through the building, hosting 3x Wi-Fi networks. One thing to know: the "Express" software is only sufficient for simple setups. For example, there are no IP reservations and no manual routing rules. It's my understanding these features become activated if I purchase additional products (Fit Cloud Controller, IIRC). I'm okay with this. The express tier was sufficient for our needs, and I might upgrade later if those needs change. And one final word of caution - when you make changes in the Express software, all of the managed devices will then reboot to take the configuration change, and this can take a while. Although the ease of making the changes from home mean I can do them at night when the building is empty 😅 . Review: POE and FIT management - I was not sure about the FIT management. I am able to kill POE from anywhere. I use this for a home network also connected to a HAM Radio network called ARDEN. makes it easy to reset the AREDEN NODES. I have been using EnGenius products for about 15 years. ## Features - Smart PoE Power Management 8x Gigabit PoE ports with 55W total power budget - Efficiently power IP cameras, access points, and VoIP phones with intelligent power allocation - High-Performance Networking 20Gbps switching capacity with 2x SFP uplink ports - Delivers reliable gigabit connectivity and fiber backbone options for growing businesses - Advanced Layer 2+ Management Full-featured switching with VLAN, QoS, ACLs, and spanning tree protocols - Professional network control without complexity - Intelligent Device Monitoring Quick-scan device registration and remote troubleshooting capabilities - Simplified network management through EnGenius Fit platform - Business-Ready Reliability Link aggregation (LACP) and redundancy features - Ensure network uptime and stability for mission-critical operations ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BLY7PDSX | | Best Sellers Rank | #455 in Computer Networking Switches | | Brand | EnGenius | | Built-In Media | Fit Managed 8 Ports Gigabit Switch, Power Adapter, Quick Installation Guide | | Case Material Type | Plastic | | Color | black | | Compatible Devices | Desktop | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 6 Reviews | | Data Transfer Rate | 20000 megabits_per_second | | Interface | PoE, SFP | | Item Weight | 2.3 pounds | | Manufacturer | EnGenius Technologies | | Maximum Power | 55 watts | | Mfr Part Number | EWS2910P-FIT | | Model Number | EWS2910P-FIT | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Ports | 8 | | Platform | Not Machine Specific | | Switch Type | Layer 2 Switch | | UPC | 655216011007 | | Warranty Description | 1 Year | ## Product Details - **Brand:** EnGenius - **Color:** black - **Compatible Devices:** Desktop - **Included Components:** Fit Managed 8 Ports Gigabit Switch, Power Adapter, Quick Installation Guide - **Number of Ports:** 8 ## Images ![Fit EWS2910P-FIT 8-Port Gigabit PoE Managed Switch - 55W Power Budget, Layer 2+ Management, SFP Uplinks for Small Business Networks - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51H+8y8psIL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Meets my needs in a small not-for-profit *by S***M on April 20, 2024* I use this device at a small not-for-profit with ~6 employees and volunteers to which I provide technical support as a volunteer. It's nice to be able to support the network and check on the status from my smart phone at home. I am able to kill POE from anywhere. I use this for a home network also connected to a HAM Radio network called ARDEN. makes it easy to reset the AREDEN NODES. I have been using EnGenius products for about 15 years. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Slow switch, web manageable *by K***I on November 4, 2023* This switch may be OK for most people but I am in a latency sensitive environment and the switch takes twice as long as other switches on my network to process packets. I returned this product. Dislike: * FitXpress web app only allows you to manage port descriptions, vlans, and view switch statistics. All the other features need to be managed locally. * Packet processing is twice as slow as other switches. Ran a constant ping over several hours and the average response time was 6ms. My other managed switches respond in 3ms. There would be frequent latency spikes around 130ms and even as high as 500ms. I tried different cables, computers, and ports on the switch but the issue persisted. This was all over wire, no WiFi involved. * No documentation. Their website does not have any documentation on how to use the features on the switch beyond the quick start guide. The FAQ page they have setup is lack luster. * The backup config is in binary format. Unable to see or edit the backup file. * All changes are committed to the running/memory/boot config. If you make a change and lose access, you have to factory reset it and restore from backup. Like: * The local web gui management is easy to use and understand. Dark mode. * All metal body. * All ports PoE. * Physical power button. ## Frequently Bought Together - EnGenius Fit L2 Plus Managed 8-Port Gigabit PoE Switch | 55W Budget | 2 SFP Uplink Ports | 20 Gbps Switching Capacity [EWS2910P-FIT] - EnGenius Fit Wireless Access Point (EWS356-FIT) | True Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band AX3000 | Cloud & App & OnPrem Control Options | WPA3, MU-MIMO, Mesh & Seamless Roaming | Power Adapter Not Included - EnGenius FitCon100 FitController On-Premises Network Management Controller --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/505673896-fit-ews2910p-fit-8-port-gigabit-poe-managed-switch-55w](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/505673896-fit-ews2910p-fit-8-port-gigabit-poe-managed-switch-55w) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
