Review: Not a substitute for eye of newt. - I had read that eye of newt (which desertcart refuses to carry) would work wonders on restoring my old cauldron to its shiny new state. Well, eye of frog is not a good substitute at all, much to my disappointment. My cauldron remains tarnished, and all of the cauldron suppliers in Salem Massachusetts are still claiming COVID caused a “supply chain issue”. Yeah right. Well, this product certainly came with two eyes, just as you’d expect. All of the internal organs were in their proper places and were easily found. I would avoid using them in any brews though, as I find the hint of formaldehyde to be a little off-putting. To each their own I suppose though. Anyway, this is a fine product, arrived as described, and I take responsibility for the lack of success on my cauldron - the YouTube video that suggested this as a substitute for eye of newt was obviously in error. You can’t trust everything on the internet these days.
Review: Great specimen - I've never dissected a frog before, so I have nothing to compare it to. With that said, the frog seemed well preserved. We, the grandchildren and I, were able to find all the organs and tissues.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are your specimen preserved in?**
A: Hello! Our specimens are preserved in Formalin, which is the most widely used, economical, and effective fixative used in preservation. Our supplier utilizes a low concentration (3.7%) to effectively preserve the entire specimen and prevent decay. After fixation, specimens go through a series of washes to remove residual formalin. The amount of residual formalin remaining is usually less than 1%, which is in line with the federal OSHA standard. Specimens are then stored and packaged in the supplier's non-toxic, non-formaldehyde holding solution. This solution inhibits decay, fungal and bacterial growth, and prevents desiccation of specimen. Specimens are never shipped in formaldehyde. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
