Velvet soft feet guaranteed!
I have been eyeing up the scholl pedi foot file for awhile as my feet have taken quite a beating from working long hours standing up. I don't have the prettiest feet to begin with but you wouldn't want to see my feet in sandals especially with my heels! I've been plagued with dry, cracked heels which become flakey when wet and a eyesore. My husband even commented on how bad they were whilst giving birth!I had a standard foot file but eventually gave up using this as it became too labourous. But with summer here, I want to be able to wear my sandals without having to worry about my heels. So decided to invest in the scholl wet and dry pedi. I liked how the product can be used in a wet as well as a dry environment which made it very appealing.THE FILEThe package came with the foot file and the charger base. It would have been nice to have a spare filing rod included though. The extension for the charger is USB adapted so handy if traveling as it offers an alternative way to charge the file. The instructions were very easy to read and understand (no jargon used) and the font at a decent size so those, like myself who require specs to read, won't find it much of a challenge to read without. The file has a nice simple ergonomic design and is very lightweight. Its easy to handle and is made with a soft grip material which doesn't get slippery when wet. There are two buttons; on/off switch and dual speed button, both does not required much effort to use. Good if you have problems with dexterity of your hands. The filing rod can be a bit fiddly to remove but becomes easier with practice. People with dexterity problems may require some help with this as it involves squeezing a bottom on the side of the rod whilst pulling the rod out. For me, squeezing this button required some effort. The colour is a nice Tiffany blue/Aqua blue which ties in with the theme of water but would be nice if it was also available in other colours such as pink or purple. This is my personal peference.HOW IT WORKEDI couldn't wait to put the foot file to the test. It worked straight out of the box. However, I decided to charge it first before using it for the first time as this was recommended by the manufacture in the instructions. Whilst charging, there is a small green light that flashes intermittently on the file. Once fully charged, it becomes a steady green light. It took about an hour and a half to completely charge my pedi foot file. For my first trial, I decided to use it on one foot dry then try it during a shower on my other foot to compare. The file worked a treat on my foot when dry. It was easy to handle and worked effectively on either of the dual speed settings, buffing off the dry skin. I was surprised at how quick it took and how much dry skin was removed. The sole of my foot felt velvet soft and smooth as promised and looked almost sandal ready after a quick moisturise. However, when used in the shower, the file worked but it was difficult to tell visually how effective it was. Also, if you pushed down a little too hard on the foot file, the rotating roll will stop working, which after a while was a bit annoying as I seem to naturally do so to areas where I think I needed more work. I had to use it after having the shower to see the effects better. I felt that this was more time consuming to get the desired results when compared to using on the dry foot. Hopefully, this would become less of an issue as I use it more regularly and get use to handling the product in the shower. Perhaps, in a bath it would be easier to see the effect better. But, I must say, the end result was the same if not better. My foot felt soft and smoothe and again, after a quick moisturise, my foot was sandal ready. Well, maybe not fully ready but at least a whole lot better than it was.CONCLUSIONWant quick results and a silky smooth touch to your feet? Scholl pedi foot file is the way to go. Would I recommend this product? A big YES. In my experience, when compared to an ordinary foot file, Scholl pedi foot file beats it hands down. A bit pricey but worthy investment.

Not sure if the one I got is faulty or fake
The media could not be loaded. As you can see, I have two of these. I bought the first (left) one 6 June 2016 second (new/R) one 27 Jun 2024. The new one started to have faint ticking noises on its second week and got gradually louder. This is what it sound like now (see video for the loud clicking/popping noises). I have contacted the seller for a refund. The product itself, when working, is very effective. I bought a second one simply because I wanted one in my room. I hope the seller and I come to a resolution (refund or replacement).
