For your money you do get something designed with the same eye for clever simplicity as the camera itself and the same quality of build. The main part of the case is (or appears to be) polycarbonate which should make it strong and therefore give some valuable extra bump-protection to your Cube camera. There's a locking latch on the side which opens the silicon-ringed door on the back of the case so you can insert the Cube - and that's it, your Cube is now waterproof to 10m depths and protected from dust and mud as you film your outdoors exploits. Note that the waterproof case cannot sit upright on its own, you have to attach it to another accessory, like the optional suction foot, to have it sit upright. There's a waterproofed button on top of the case so you can still operate the camera while it's inside, however the microphone on front of the camera is going to be somewhat muffled by the sealed case.On the base of the case is the standard Cube accessory mount so this waterproof case can be attached to the other accessories, like the  Bicycle Mount  or  Helmet Mount . There may be a limited range of movement when it's attached to different bases, for example with the bike clip you can rotate the case through 360° in click-steps but with the suction foot you can only tilt the camera up and down. You'll have to use some intelligent guesswork when setting up the camera because with no viewfinder or screen you can't see what the camera sees until you've filmed your video clip.The waterproof case does add a whole new level of usage to your Cube and so you can take it places you wouldn't otherwise, even go swimming with it, and it's well made and designed but it is a bit pricey. It would be good to see Polaroid offer one bundled with the Cube camera at a better value price, but if you already have a Cube then this is probably the most essential, practical and most fun of the available accessories.
