This device does not connect to your mobile device wirelessly. It's merely a pricy indicator to tell you if your soil is dry and if it contains proper nutrient levels. According to the seller, the soil sensor tests soil ion concentration which includes nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, boron, molybdenum, zinc, manganese, copper, chlorine, and 13 other kinds of elements.If the sensor detects all these ions, the LED light will flash GREEN every 12 seconds, BLUE if the soil is dry, YELLOW (ORANGE) if soil nutrients are low, and RED if the battery is low.Getting Started:1. Do not water your plant prior to inserting the sensor.2. Remove the sensor cover and pull the battery saver tab to activate. The device will begin blinking BLUE and YELLOW every 5 seconds to indicated that the sensor is ready. Snap sensor cover back onto the device.3. Insert the sensor into the plant soil until you've reached the white line on the sensor's stick.4. Water your plant accordingly and try to avoid getting the sensor's casing wet.5. It kept saying that the soil humidity is low. I have several plants and some of them the soil is dry but the device kept showing blue light even on moist soil. So I then dipped the probes into a glass of water and the blue light blinked. I think one of the reviewers commented on this-as well as the wap code being in Chinese only.
