They do feel cooler to the touch than 100% cotton, and are so soft and silky. I read other reviews about the different opening being a disappointment, and I did turn my pillow at some point, but never noticed the opening at all. There is a substantial amount of overlap and the material is so soft, it is barely obvious. I am very impressed and working towards a full change in all my bedding! Review: Far better than cotton - Absolutely phenomenal pillowcases, so much so that I've purchased the full bedding set. Extremely soft to touch, very cooling and would highly recommend. Great if you overheat at night but as it is temperature regulating it won't stay cold either. I also am buying an increasing amount of bamboo clothing, which has lots of the same benefits.
