Both pastries are very dried out and crumbling apart. When you try to take them out they begin falling apart in your hand. If you manage to get them in toaster, they definitely crumble apart when you try to take them out. My guess is these boxes are either old stock or were stored somewhere very dry. They still taste nearly normal but it's close to impossible to toast them.
