No firmware update since release, so not sure if these issues will be resolved by some future update. 5. Better that my PI8’s *by B***E on May 8, 2026* After reading some reviews I bought these to replace my B&W PI8’s that were stolen. I have a collection of headphones of headphones and earbuds including the usual suspects from Beats (terrible), Sony(decent sound quality, great noise cancellation, meh build) and B&W (PI8, Px8 & PX8S2 - the PX8S2 being my #1 pick) The PI7S2 are by far the mode comfortable earbuds I’ve owned. So much better than the PI8’s and far far superior to Apple AirPods and AirPod pro’s) I was never 100% happy with the sound of the PI8’s ; I found them flat and lacked bass, especially when playing Rock, industrial or electronic music. The PI7S2’s however fill that bass void. If I’m being picky, the midrange could be a little more forward, but overall these are the best sounding earbuds I’ve owned by a considerable margin. One nice feature is that the case can act as a Bluetooth transmitter. A USB to 3.5mm jack cable is supplied. Use this to connect the charging case to a 3.5mm headphone output and the case will act as a Bluetooth transmitter to send audio to your earbuds. This is useful if you want to use these these with in flight entertainment. Just plug into the headphone jack on the seat back. ANC is ok, but not best in class. This isn’t important for me but may be to others. Another minor niggle is that there is no way to alter EQ in the B&W app. Minor niggles aside, the PI7S2’s are easily the best all round earbuds I’ve owned.
