Review: Fixed Drafty Double Glazing - This works! Added the seal to a drafty window. Having installed the seal found the window needed a bead of silcon around the edge also. But now have a toasty room. Would recommend, easy to install and just works. Hopefully the adhesive will hold up, the design means it's trapped between the frame and seal, so should be ok for this winter (fingers cross). Will be interesting to see if it holds up once the window is open and closed over the summer.

It hasn't worked as well on a window, as it peeled off over time and has required renewing, but overall I'm quite happy with the results.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have a leaky UPC double glazed window which lets in a lot of cold air in winter.  Is this the right product to buy? Also what is P, E and D types**
A: P,E and D refers to the cross sectional shape of the material, I used P. That's what it looks like end on. I stuck it on along  the edge of the original seal and it worked ok. If you put it on top of the original seal you might have trouble closing the window.  (It probably wouldn't matter much as to the type of seal you use)

**Q: Will it work on wooden windows?**
A: Yes, I used it on old wooden windows. The P-Profile works well so long as the window gap is suitable. ie for 5mm P Profile a 3mm gap is about ideal as the strip compresses enough to seal the gap withough being to tightly squeezed and resisting window closure. The P Profile is much neater and keeps much cleaner than the commonly used sponge plastic rectangular seals do

**Q: Will it work on upvc double glazing, and which profile do i need ?**
A: It works for me on upvc double glazing, just be sure the surface is clean and more important dry.

**Q: Will this product stick to metal windows ?**
A: Yes, it will. I tried it in both metal and wood and it has good adhesion.
