Review: Deliciously fluffy and soft and cooling - I absolutely love this thing. Being cotton, I sized up to the twin size as a couch throw since I am 5'9" and like to have plenty of runway for my blankets so I don't have cold toes :) it does shrink up a little but not horribly and I love the design and something about it is just delicious and fluffy and soft and oh my goodness it gets so much softer with each wash and probably by the fifth or sixth wash you are going to want to hug it. I initially felt it was a little overpriced but have changed my mind. It does seem to be a really good quality cotton blend so I think it actually is priced correctly. It manages to have enough heft to feel like a proper blanket without being too much for the summer and that is a delicate balance to hit. The large waffle weave design is fantastic and I think it contributes to that wonderful illusion of heft and fluffiness. It is a snag risk and so far I have been lucky but don't wash it with anything that has zippers or hooks. In terms of cooling, I would say that it does a really good job keeping me from being chilly but it also is able to keep me cool when it's warmer so I don't have any sweaty leg issues when I use this on AC nights.

**Q: Does the 50% bamboo make this dry quicker and softer than all cotton waffle? I find waffle weaves to be scratchy and uncomfortable.**
A: I was honestly concerned about the same thing and relied on previous reviews to take a shot on this. In my observation, and based on the washing/drying instructions the company will provide via email if you order direct from them, drying is actually not fast at all... I had to run my blanket through two cycles. Unfortunately, I have misplaced those instructions or I would include them here. What I can say is, I do not find this blanket to be scratchy in the least. It's very soft, and cool to the touch, and I don't know if you are familiar with sera soft, but this is in my opinion, more comfortable and softer than that material.

**Q: Is it hypoallergenic?**
A: This is a 50% cotton and 50% bamboo blanket and is hypoallergenic. And it's really comfortable.

**Q: Is routine fabric softener (such as Downey) use okay?**
A: As Mary mentioned, fabric softeners actually cause natural fibers to wear out more quickly, because they work by coating the fabric in a waxy layer. This also changes the feel of your fabrics, and especially with a bamboo/cotton blend that you're buying for its soft, silky hand, you probably won't want to change how it feels! In addition to that, the coating left by fabric softener chemicals would detract from the cooling and wicking properties of the bamboo fibers. You shouldn't have issues with static with natural fibers dried on low, but if you do, wool dryer balls are great for that and much more cost-effective than fabric softeners!

**Q: What are the dimensions. The one in the description must be wrong.**
A: I’m at work, so I don’t have the dimensions.  But it fits like a regular sized blanket on our queen bed, and it’s beautiful.

These are great blankets, not heavy and weaved together to allow air flow so they don’t get hot. A great summer blanket. I used two of them in the winter and I love them. I bought this mainly for my husband, he’s a very hot sleeper and I haven’t been able to find bedding to keep him cool, with out me freezing. (We have the ceiling fan, a fan on the night stand, and a bigger fan at the end of the room. Just to give you an idea how serious he takes this) I put this blanket (king size) on the bed and our duvet over. He sleeps under the blanket and tosses the duvet off him. he sleeps much better this way. He doesn’t over heat, and it’s a light, airy blanket that he can be comfortable under. I also sleep under the blanket, and have the duvet on me. We both think it’s a super comfortable blanket. It’s soft, but has like a cozy feel to it. I would even say it’s luxurious. I’m super high maintenance about having that luxurious/cozy “hotel bed” that you can just sink in to, and I’d say this blanket meets my standards. Now, as far as the blanket being cooling/breathable/airy - I would say it stands up to that claim. It doesn’t over heat, or make you feel hot underneath. I’ve noticed sleeping under the blanket (and my duvet) that I can stay warm, but not hot. However if I do move to a new spot of the bed, then it does feel cold under the blanket until my body heat warms it up. So I usually stay in the same spot. Lol There are squares on the blanket that you can practically stick a slim object through (if you pick at it or forcefully mess with it) but I think that’s why the blanket is so airy and breathable. Maybe keep dogs/cat off the blanket so their nails don’t get caught. But I don’t think it’ll be a big problem. Just wash and dry accordingly, and try not let anything snag at the blanket. The length/size of the blanket is good. It fully fits my king bed, and hangs off the mattress plenty. (I also have a tall mattress) HOWEVER—- because this blanket has viscose (bamboo) material, it WILL shrink in hot water. Do not wash, or dry in hot water/heat. Lay out flat to dry, or air dry only in the dryer. I seen some previous reviews saying that the blankets are small, honestly I think maybe they washed/dried them incorrectly with out noticing that was the cause of the size. The king size is more than enough for a king bed. I picked the taupe color. It’s kinda a light beige and I’d say true to color. I wanted something other than white for my bedding, but if I ever go to change my bedding I’ll definitely get another blanket. But honestly I’m just debating on getting the white blanket too. I got it while on sale, (54$) but I would still pay original price for this blanket. It’s a new staple for my bedding.! Also, I did get an email from the seller with correct washing/drying instructions and care of the blanket. Overall a good buy, and probably will by again.
